Dawson vs Pascal Being Eyed: Additional News and Notes

This is the fight that i want to see the most, in all of boxing. These are two fighters with high level skills and athleticism, and are at the top of their game right now. This is also the fight that will give Dawson more recognition, and shut the critics up claiming that he is only interested in old fighters.

I heard Shaw ( Dawson's promotor) state in last night's post press conference, that he doesn't mind going to Canada as hes confident in Dawson's abilities.

dawson vs pascal would be a total mismatch. dawson vs cloud should be the match that gets made. although cloud is still green he'll give dawson a way better fight than pascal.

The only reason Dawson doesn't have a strong following in his home state it because of Gary Shaw. Once Shaw got a hold of him he took him out of his home state for casino money. That is not the way to bread a fighter. If a fighter can't go home, he'll never be able to go anywhere. Look at Danny Jacobs; he should be selling out ballrooms and theaters all over NYC. But since he is promoted by Golden Boy and the rare shows that GBP puts on in the east coast, he is little known on the east coast. A big mistake by promoters.

Dawson/Pascal would be a great fight.

Why did Shaw say he wants Angulo to fight Mayorga? What would be the point in that. Theres a lot of good fights that could be made at 154 for Angulo not to mention a rematch with Cintron.
And hopefully Chad actually stays at 175 and tries to clean out the division. Pascal Cloud Erdei...all those guys should be his next opponents.

If I'm not mistaken, Dawson's mandatory is the winner of Pascal/Dicanou (spelling)? And for Erdei, he's moving up because he doesn't want to fight Dawson or Pascal IMO.

F that... get Hopkins before he retires. Pascal, Cloud, Campillo and Braehmer (since Erdei is moving up, I think Braehmer automatically becomes the WBO champions) will still be there after Hopkins, because they aren't that old.

After Hopkins, he can take on Pascal, Cloud, Campillo and Braehmer and take them all down (probably).

No point in wasting his wbc mandatory status, he should fight Pascal ASAP. But you also have to take into consideration that Pascal did fight Diaconu when Dawson didn't. As a Dawson fan that disturbs me.

I like pascal but i think he would probably lose to Dawson even so i think it would be a really exciting fight and i am glad Dawson said he wants the fight.
