the yorgey fight should be stop earlier indeed also his corner could have trown the towel even angulo was feeling bad after hiting the guy when he was already out and the hbo comentators didnt even say a word

That was a brutal knock out and that ref was slow as hell. I haven't seen the replay since, but I think if they stopped it earlier people would be complaining about an early stoppage. I think that's why his own corner didn't want to throw in the towel. Yorgey was throwin back, but that left hook did kind of come out of no where to end it quick fast.

It kind of reminded me of Escalante's KO of Stark. He also got caught against the ropes when he was already hurt with a massive shot.

The thing is that all this was new to Yorgey and his camp. Yorgey just was not ready for a beast like Angulo, he had the right to keep going because the ref did not stop him. Yorgey's camp should have stopped the fight the fighter is going to continue fighting which is always a big mistake even though Yorgey was still swinging he wasn't going to hurt Angulo.

Dan Rafael of ESPN.com reports that Jack Loew tried to stop the fight earlier, but that an inspector from the Connecticut athletic commission prevented him from going onto the ring apron.

Thats the reason why i feel the ref did not do his job, angulo hit while Yorgey was on the floor to the back of the head also when yorgey went to protect him self by holding across the ring on his knees the ref should of taking more time to separate them or a standing eight. one more note the ref was to slow to jump in and stop the fight he should of been closer in the last round to stop the fight...
