All I know is that they wanted to fight Mosley at 137, because he was struggling to make weight. In his fights with Morales, Johnson, and Brown he was struggling to make weight. Mosley let it be known that he was moving up to 147 to fight Hoya. Arum said a fight with Hoya would never happen and Mosley was out of his mind.
I also remember Mosley was doing the play by play for the Floyd vs Carlos Rios fight on TNT. Mosley fought Morales a few months later on TNT. So I do think they were trying to set the fight up.
I read this in a review journal article from Vegas not to long ago.Comment

Floyd said so. It must be true.
The real question is, is there any reliable source aside from Floyd that says this? Because anyone who was following the sport back then can tell you that if Mosley "ducked" Floyd, we must've missed it.Comment

how would mosley shut that down? if i'm asking you to fight me and you say hell no because i'm not a good draw...then as soon as i become big enough for you to use for your financial gain...you are more than willing to fight me...you expect me to come to your beckoning call? that makes me look like a *****...i'll fight you when i'm good and ready...
it's pretty obvious that shane wants a big payday on his way out the door...floyd is the biggest draw in boxing...he shouldn't have to chase that old man...
and if you think so...you have no dignity if you would...Comment

I am with you bro... its just ******, both guys are in the same weightclass both ranked as the best, why dont they just make the fight and stop crying so much, there would be millions for both..
I am sick of the catchweight bull**** this fight should happen NOW at WWComment

None of this "Floyd ducked Shane", or "Shane ducked Floyd" **** even matters.
Both guys were stubborn with one another in the past when it came to making this fight, and yet both guys also expressed great intrest in the potential possibility of fighting one another.
But that was all years ago.
As it stands now, Mosley is calling Mayweather out in the press, on television, and to his face.
The ball is in Floyd's court, and if the fight doesn't happen, it'll be Floyd's fault. Because Shane has done everything he possibly can since Floyd came out of retirement to generate intrest, get Floyd's attention, and get him into the ring.Comment
