What about a gun, AIDS, an overdose, or insomnia due to an upcoming fight?

I give Cotto precision but timing, no. You can say that against Margarito cuz Marg just basically goes forward and not covering his head.

Pac has precision too, just look at his last 3 fights. Timing, well just looked at his 3 fights too. And even against JMM, when he Marquez went forward, Pac hit him that resulted in a knockdown.

Then Pac has speed, power, feet movement, and Freddie Roach.

Pac is known to swing wild at times...Cotto doesn't do that!!!

I think timing is important, I also believe that there are other attributes/tools that play a huge roll in Cotto's favor. With that being said, it takes a combination of all attributes to get to a common goal. Cotto has shown in many fights his ability to time. You don't have to take my word for it...he's demonstrated it in his last couple of fights.
He's also has shown other attributes the footwork, the power, and his speed (respectively). He's shown that he can box southpaws, he is effective with both hands, cuts the ring effectively, and has a decent chin. So in this particular bout with Pac...I can comfortably say...that Cotto has the attributes and tools to deal with Pac, but the most important tool is at least in this bout...timing.

I mean if that was true Cotto would have lost to Mosley and Judah. He didn't he was able to overcome those two fighters, by timing them and with precision. Also believe me Cotto WILL see Pac's punches. That is another phrase that gets played out too much on here. I mean even though many of you think it Pac cannot throw supersonic punches that cannot be seen.
Dom this comes from the Dela Hoya fight....

They think because Dela Hoya couldn't pull the trigger anymore that Manny Pac is an unhittable lightening bolt with 45 caliber bullets for fists...

The truth is Dela Hoya was unable to pull the trigger he would see the punch and he knew what to do but couldnt cause he just didn't have it anymore...Thats why I think he got frustrated and quit.

Hatton while he was conscious landed on Manny.

This Manny is unhittable all stems from the Hoya fight.

Good post! Cotto has all the tools, and I am very confident that his timing and precision will be on point like they always have been.

Yeah some Pac fans think that Pac's punches can't be seen by the naked eye, but as you said it comes from the DLH fight. Thanks for bringing that up!!!

The truth is ...That Manny is very hittable and very open to counter punching...

The way he lounges in from distance gives Cotto added time to pop out the jab and catch him coming in...No matter how fast your are...if you lounging in from distance you have a lot of space to close and a fighter with his wits about him will be able to counter effectively.

Also Manny loads up on his punches and leaves himself out of position...if Cotto catches him like this with a left hook...it could be an early night.

Anyway we will find out on the 14th...may the best man win...no excuses.
