I just don't see anyway it's not exciting. There's two things that can happen. Either a quick KO or stoppage which could be entertaining anyway or a bad clash of heads which is unfortunatly possible.
This is Pacquiao and Cotto you are talking about. They make fights exciting, not 24/7s. They talk with their fists, and they don't need to run their mouth and play a gimmick to sell fights.
