With all due respect to whoever, Pac-JMM 3 isn't that meaningful anymore.
Pac-JMM 3 is dead. Even if Pac loses in Nov he and JMM will both want a safer comeback opponent than each other. That **** won't happen. And Mr boat buyer will never fight SSM. That's why Pac is in a better spot. If Pac-boat buyer don't happen, Pac would be willin to fight SSM. Mr boat buyer won't.

Manny can tell Floyd to come in at whatever weight he wants but we both know Floyd wouldn't make it. That's how he roles. He already cheated Marquez in that regard. Anyway, Manny won't be dictating anything to Mayweather.

But on the subject of Manny draining fighters...

Floyd has dragged opponents to his preferred weight class too.

Out of each of their last 3 fights, both Manny and Floyd have fought one fight at their opponent's optimum weight.

Floyd beat Oscar at Oscar's weight, then dragged Hatton and Marquez out of their elements.

Manny beat Hatton at Hatton's optimum weight but also fought a drained Oscar and now Cotto at 145.

So they are pretty similar of recent times...

pacquiao went up TWO divisions in that fight delahoya went down ONE.

PLUS oscar called the shots in that fight.

having cotto go down 2 lbs. ain't exactly the same as having a guy move up 1 or 2 divisons.

Hell fight PBF at 147. Im convinced Pac is walking around at 150-155 as of now so their wont be a need for a catch weight with him and PBF. Mays already a smller WW so trying to weight drain him wouldnt do much.

                It better be at 147lb..

straight up..if Manny beats Cotto..he'll be the WBO Welterweight Champion..he better not try to defend that at less than the limit..

I wasn't trying to argue who it benefited more, etc. What I was trying to do was say that Manny is not the only person that can be pointed at for fighting fighters out of their preferred weights.

Since you've mentioned it though, I'll say that the Oscar fight clearly benefited Manny because he was a growing fighter and Oscar was drained coming down even by one weight, and it was the manner by which he drained himself.

Is that Manny's fault? No way. Like you said, Oscar called the shots.

I agree with what you are saying though about the 2lb on Cotto, its not the same as dragging the LW champion of the world up almost 2 weight classes. That sounds more and more ridiculous everytime I say it. Wow...
