absolutley spot on i dont see why people feel the need to disrespect fighters just because they favour someone else.
I know what's wrong with boxing.

When someone tells me (the buying customer) that there going to entertain me in a certain fashion thats what I expect, If I went to the cinema and paid to watch a comedy and a horror movie was played I expect my ****ing money back.
Sport is a theatre of dreams and the average Joe only dreams of earning what these so called fighters are paid, over the past month or so, us the paying public have been conned into paying our hard earned to watch ****e, FMJ vs JMM, Froch vs Dirrell, and now Haye vs Valuev, what makes it worse is when the judges have been got to.Comment

How many times have you watched trailers/adverts of a film and then went to see it and left disappointed?Comment

and therein lies the problem dude, most people don't know enough about the sport to breakdown fights intelligently so posting consists of man-bashing and name calling. boxing needs the casual fan for it's popularity but I sure wish they'd post less-- I agree with you dude 100%; that's why I rarely postComment

I totally agree with this thread. there are to many arm chair boxing fans who don't understand what boxing is about and most probably haven't even stepped between the ropes. Yes we are all allowed favourites and like some more than others but to discredit a boxer in the way a lot of boxing scene posters do is a joke. Stepping between the ropes takes some balls and to call any one for doing so is not in the spirit of the sport.
Its amusing looking at all these so called experts and people who hide behind a computer spouting rubbish about boxers when themselves most likely know very little.
As for paying good money to watch fights etc its the risk you have to take as a 'boxing fan' ( i say this in inverted commas as a lot on this forum are KO fans) due to the amount of money in the sport. I personally don't agree with PPV but I live with it.Comment

I totally agree.
I never find a fight boring unless it's something like Dirrell-Froch, which was full of cheating etc.
But people seem to find all fights that go the distance boring. Or unless it's an absolute war for 12 rounds then it's crap and the fighters are bums.

Very true, I mean I at least admit when I am wrong... I thought Valuev would beat Haye to be honest... but I was glad he proved me wrong. I thought Margarito was gonna beat SSM, I was glad SSM proved me wrong.Comment
