A ho-hum win for Chad Dawson, who landed 56% of his power shots (142 of 252)- just not enough of them. Dawson never looked to finish the soon-to be-41 yr. old Glen Johnson, who landed just 25% of his total punches. Dawson averaged 42 jabs thrown per round, but landed just 12 power shots per round. That was as impressive as watching paint dry. Horribly boring ass fight it was hilarious, I think two of the judges fell asleep though since they had 115-113 for Dawson when it was a lop-sided fight but their scorecards told a different story! Damn Dawson you put the judges to sleep! -
absolutely boring. i cant fault Dawson though, even though i would have liked him to stand in and trade, it is not his fault Johnson is too old and overmatched to even make it competitive.
Dawson does not like a fight, he wants an easy pay day, if not he would have fought Cloud. although Cloud is a bit unknown, he would have pushed Dawson to perform and shine. Dawson does not want that though.
instead he wants to pick and choose and flee.
i gave johnson one round, round 5. other than that he couldnt get close enough to land much. and 8 right hands to the body wont win rounds.
