    Thoughts on Dawson vs Johnson

My first thought throughout that fight was "how was Dawson able to keep his protector that high on his body?" It was legitimately above at least two of his ribs and 5 inches above his navel. Really suprising how neither commentators or Johnson's corner said anything about the protector.

How did two of the judges give FIVE rounds to Johnson in that fight?
He won AT MOST two rounds.

    I appreciate your thoughts.

The real score was 118-110 or 117-111. There's no way Johnson won more than three rounds.

However, it wasn't quite as dominating, career-defining performance by Dawson as the HBO commentators were making it out to be.

Johnson is over the hill and should retire.

Yeah i dont know.. it seemed like his cup got higher throughout the fight.. But alot of boxers get away with having a high cup guard.. like delahoya used to always have his up high. But yea he dominated the fight it wasnt even close so i dont know why glen johnson raised his hands after the fight then looked shocked when he wasnt announced the winner.. maybe he'll go make videos on youtube again how he was robbed lol

Yeah Dawson dominated. But of course HBO commentators are obsessed with nuthugging their fighters.
          Frustrating.

I know alot of fighters have a guard that is high. But I have NEVER seen it 5 inches above the navel.

haha yeah really that youtube video post Dawson 1 was pathetic.

I know he's pissed about a close loss, but youtube? seriously, lol

saw the video myself and one of the biggest arguments Johnson uses was the fact that he wasn't hurt at all during the fight

you don't have to hurt your opponent to beat them.

I noticed the guard too. Same with Oscar vs. Vargas. How does this get by the ref?
