Now i was rooting for Haye for this fight, however i thought he lucky to get the decision. I thought Haye put together well on what he had to do in there and had his tactics spot on but he wasn't busy enough! I think Haye fought extremly cautious throughout the fight which kept him at bay for most of the fight, he didn't want to engage to often and could have dropped a few more bombs then he could have done...I think the 12th round when Haye had him hurt he only just realised that he had power to do damage. Valuev was pressing forward but wasn't very effective and didn't land anything of to much note, maybe on one occasion...Haye should have found Valuev out way before.
For me, Haye didn't realise till the 12 round he could hurt Valuev (disregarding he broke his right hand) The giant looked very fragile when getting hit which shows he is human. I think most fighters come in thinking they cannot hurt the guy because he is so big and intimidating but from i seen tonight he doesn't like to get hit and can be rocked.
Although an iffy decision i think Haye done pretty well and showed some great movement, slickness in there! If there was to be a rematch i'd think Haye would be alot more agressive knowing he can hurt Valuev like he did in the 12th round...
