I think this shows a lot about zab's confidence in himself, you take a fight with a guy with 20 losses, put it on a pay per view that no one is gonna buy, and turn down a fight with matt hatton on a card with mayweather and marquez? I guess he thought he was gonna lose that fight.

the only suprising notion of this news is that this guy went the distance with casamayor. Marquez over casamayor is still big imo. Why is Diaz win starting to dwindle? anyways Casamayor came in at 146 11 pounds heavier than what he is usually at. I figure casamayor trained for like a week or two regardless he shoulda beat this guy worse. Anyways Casa should be embarrased because this is bad.

I am a huge fan of JMM saying that. I never throw a fighter that I'm a fan of under the bus after they lose a fight, but there has to be a reason other than money that JMM is calling out Ricky Hatton and not fighting guys like Katsidis, Soto, Bradley, and Alexander. Is he just in it for the money now?

How Zab keeps getting title shots is beyond me.
Seems like ever since his ko loss to Kostya Tszyu he was never the same fighter.
Turning down a descent fight with M Hatton on a good card for a man with 20 defeats says it all about Judah.

and Zab took this fight over a spot on the Mayweather undercard .. WOW

fighting Matt Hatton would have at least given Zab a name .. be it the younger brother of a big time fighter but a name none the less

as for Zab fighting Urango at 140, I could see it happening, but its been a while since Judah has fought at 140, just saying.

Those wins over Casamayor and Diaz by JMM are starting to dwindle in obscurity.

I don't see that at all. if anything it's Casa and Diaz who are fading into obscurity and not the Marquez wins over them

because when Casamayor fought Marquez, keep in mind he was coming off a win where he didn't look so hot vs Katsidis

and I think his age (38) is largely playing a factor into why he's looked so bad

**so why does Casamayor's latest performance just last night have an effect on the JMM win over Casamayor last year?

Casa is past his best now, and fighting out of his weigh division

and as for Diaz, Juan's close to obscurity, but again I don't think Diaz looking poor fighting at a Junior Welterweight catchweight

should negatively effect JMM beating Diaz at his best weight, lightweight

I know you said your a big Marquez fan, but you're missing some key factors here when looking at the above fights

as for JMM only being in it for the money ... certainly possible, but maybe after going up to 144 to fight Mayweather and not being at all competitive

JMM probably wants another big money fight, (vs Hatton) where he feels he has a more realistic chance of winning.

say what u want about zab but that would be a huge step up for urango. zabs been in the ring with cotto, mayweather, spinks, clottey, and kotsya. who the hell has urango been in the ring with?
