What fighters do you think Joe should of fought. In my opinion fights with Pavlik and Dawson wiould of been cool. On the other hand as I said earlier he tries to make fights with Jones,Hopkins,Taylor and maybe Ottke.

To this day I still havent watched the whole Calzaghe/Jones fight. I can get to about round 6 then I stop watching. He dropped Calzaghe in round 1 and made no attempt to finish him off.

Lacy was considered good, and was expected to KO Calzaghe.

I dont think its that he waited till they were old, he himself was getting old, and only became popular in the states when he dominated Lacy.

Only then did Hopkins and Jones want to fight Calzaghe because he was a name.

Hopkins and Jones didnt want to fight Calzaghe because he wouldnt be a draw in America.

I think everyone is confused with the way Jones fought.. I don't get it.. He simply needed to let his hands go.

It's easy for you to sit there preaching about what a pro fighter should do, that "slapzaghe" can't hurt anyone and Roy should have traded. Easier said than done. The mistake most people make on here is thinking Calzaghe can't hurt anyone. If that was the case, Roy's eye wouldn't have been bleeding like a mother****er for half the fight. Also, if you pay attention to people who actually know what it's like to fight or even spar with someone like Calzaghe, you might realize that what you're writing here is rubbish.

Example:

So, here's a sparring partner who says Joe hit him hard, and on the other hand we have forum posters/nobodies who have probably never even been inside a boxing ring suggesting Cazlaghe can't hurt you, that he slaps and all Roy needed to do was trade with him.

Who should I believe?

Fair enough if you don't like his style of fighting, but to assume you know better than a pro fighter and a living legend such as Roy Jones is absurd.
