Poor Oscar, he got so brain damaged he didn't know that he got his ass whupped. Even his wife knew he was getting his ass whipped and was crying for them to stop it....come on Oscar get over it...you didn't want to be laid out like a corpse.
De La Hoya Switches Pick "Cotto Will Beat Pacquiao"

I believe after Pacman land some of his best shots early and Cotto keeps coming, Manny will start to get discourage. In my opinion Cotto makes adjustments in fights better than most fighters. I believe going down the stretch Cotto will breakdown Pacman. Cotto has a very good defense and a great chin. Once Pacman starts to mix it up and I believe he will because of his adrenline flowing and Millions watching. He will start to stay in front of Cotto just long enough to get HIT! Once that happens Pacman will be a different fighter. That's when he will start to weaken and fall apart. I don't see this fight going 12 Rds. Cotto will get stronger as the fight goes on. Freddie Roach said earlier on a post that he predict Pacman with a KO by rd. 9
If I had to put money on this fight I would predict it the other way. Cotto over Pacman with a KO in 9. Just my opinion! It's going to be a good fight.Comment

I was once a De la Hoya fan, but I never thought I would lose more respect for De la Hoya after he retired. First he ducks Maragarito and cherry picks a fighter 3 divisions smaller. Then he claims to be in the best shape of his life and was gonna knock out Pac. He gets destroyed and quits (let's not sugar-coat it) in the fight and then he says he didn't feel Pac's power. Then he says he knew he was gonna lose the fight anyways and he felt so weak and unhealthy. Then he says Hatton would beat Pac. Now Cotto is gonna beat him?
Get over it. Oscar has way too much pride and ego to see things the way they are. Even Hopkins gives Pac credit. Pac beat Oscar's ass and not only did he make him quit in the fight, but he quit boxing for good. I know he was past his prime and weight drained, but he put himself in that situation and made the fight under his terms. If you discredit a fighter who beat you, you only discredit yourself because you lost to him.Comment

Delahoya has a point.
Pacquiao was blasting Oscar at will for 8 rounds. Oscar didn't go down, nor was he about to go down. Goldie took a beating. For sure. His face was puffed up and he couldn't touch Pac.
...but Manny couldn't even score a flash KD over the worst version of Oscar that we've ever seen.
I can't imagine Pac hitting Cotto as much and as easily as he hit Oscar...can you?Comment

so if pwill would go down from 160 to 154 or 147 he is weight drained already????Comment

But Pac could dart in and out against Oscar for 30 rounds and oscar would never time him. Too drained, too shot.
But Miguel has boxing skill. And, presumably, some of his excellent timing is still there. Remember, Migs has been in the ring with fast guys. Zab and Shane.
So, Pac will hit Migs - no doubt. But cotto will also make Pac pay the price for coming inside "the zone".
I actually thought Freddie Roach's prediction of a very early KO by Pac had merit. Pac really needs to hurt Miguel early.
In my opinion, the longer this fight goes, the more it favors Miguel. If Pac can not hurt Migs early to earn a bunch of respect, then MAC will time Pac and Migs' will start to snowball.
I just don't see a very good boxer like Miguel being beaten by a sometimes sloppy boxer like Pac. UNLESS Pac's power is shocking to Miguel.Comment
