Roach: The thing is, the kid [Santiago] wants me to put up my [Trainer of the Year] trophy up that they gave me -- the best trainer trophy they gave me. The only reason he wants that trophy is because he's never fought before, so he's never even had a trophy.

I've got [friggin] thousands of trophies. He can have that trophy, for Christ sakes. It's not going to make him a better trainer.

It's hard to say if he's a good trainer, at the moment. He's only been Cotto's official trainer in the Clottey fight and, considering it was Clottey, it wasn't a walk in the park.

We'll see how Cotto does against Pacquiao.

I think joe is ****, and Cotto is basically training himself. Nothing new here though, I think Cotto was mostly training himself even when his uncle was his trainer. Cotto was born a fighter.

All I can say is that it was a bad decision for Cotto to be changing his trainor especially that he is fighting the P4P king Pacman. To make matter worst, Cotto the boxer is running the entire show which is a big mistake because it makes everybody around him a "yes man" just to please the boss.

Even if Cotto won it might not tell us anything about Santiago. Miguel seems comfortable with him though, and that's a good sign (if he's in a good place mentally).
