It's not hate, it's just logical. Someone of Mayweather's level should be fighting a current top 10 welterweight next, he is an exceptionally gifted boxer.

NEXT hasnt happened yet so why are people already vilifying the guy when nobody knows who he will fight, Ive never seen anybody get blasted over an opponent when the decision hasnt even been made.

I like it when he said "I made a video about Floyd needing to fight the top guys at WW, but after studying the sport a lot more, I see he doesn't have to fight them because..."

That's what a lot of you need to do, study the sport and learn why you can't see certain fights you idiots, instead of accusing fighters of ducking.

          Good points very good video.

He is a brilliant boxer and deserves a lot of respect for that. The problem really lies with his last two opponents, both Marquez and Hatton, who were not in his league for different reasons. Hatton was never an elite fighter and also wasn't a natural WW. Marquez was always way too small for the division.

His last two fights have effectively been against subpar opposition and therefore are virtually meaningless. People want to see Mayweather face a highly rated welterweight, someone who actually has a chance of winning. I think it's only logical, considering he fights at the welterweight limit and is regarded as one of the very best. True, we don't know his next opponent but we do know his last two and the concern is that Money May is falling into a pattern of purse over prestige. One fight against a top welterweight could change all that.

People had been calling for him to fight Hatton for a long time, he fights him and dominates, all of a sudden Hatton was no good to begin with, thats typical Monday morning quarterback talk. Hatton was ranked #1 by the WBC when Floyd fought him also, not that it matters I guess. Why wouldnt he put purse over prestige, you would do it too if you were in his shoes, step outside of the fan's perspective for once, I did.

A fight against a top welterweight like Mosley or Cotto would generate a massive amount of money. I think the pay day is just an excuse in my opinion. Mayweather will most likely make a large amount of money regardless of who he fights now so why not fight the best opposition, keep the boxing fans happy and improve his record with more credible opponents, all in one go.

But he's not in that position where he has to prove anything. He has already proved his merits in boxing. This is where I think many somewhat new people to the sport really dont realize. Floyd proved his mettle at the lower weights, he's in his fourth weight class for crying out loud, rarely would you see a fighter in his fourth class fighting the best available and never every time out. Why doesnt Cotto get blasted for not going to 160(his fourth weight) and fight somebody? Cotto is fighting top level at his second weight, well Floyd fought the best at his second weight also.

Its official, *******s claim Paul Williams cousin is a Floyd nut huger. Its a shame Pacman doesn't have a more intelligent fan base.

Remember Pac got blasted when he beat Diaz because Diaz wasn't considered one of the best at lightweight. He didn't hang around long enough at the weight for that to continue but it would have done if he stayed there and didn't fight better opposition. It's a natural reaction and it's not limited to just Mayweather. Anyone who is widely considered to be one of the best is expected to fight the best opposition at their current weight, again above all I think it's just logical. I can appreciate your point of view I think. What you're saying is that Mayweather has had tougher fights at other weights so why not allow him to fight slightly "easier" fights now and just make some money before he retires. It's a fair point but I'd still like to see Mayweather vs Mosley, it'd be a great fight and could go either way.. Really for the sake of boxing history it's a fight that should be made.. Wouldn't you want to see it?
