I don't see a contradiction, just the sentiments echoed by the boxing community at large.

He may have gotten some small details wrong while in the heat of the moment, but don't act like he was entirely off base.

5 years Spacey, 5 years in the welterweight division without a single meaningful fight against a top tier opponent.

Don't give me that **** about Carlos or Zab either. At that time, both had been exposed as being highly beatable. Sometimes, the ****ty guys make it to the top, but we know they're ****ty because they never last long.

Kenny didn't go the right way about it either, there are suttle ways to go about it.

I said I understood the overall concept... fight the best, and you will be considered one of the best (already an ATG, but can be a bigger ATG by fighting 3 names), believe me... I understand that and agree with that fully... as a Floyd fan, but a Boxing fan first.

But... he contradicted himself and made himself look like a hypocrite several times, and I am just saying, people shouldn't bash Floyd for contradicting and not somebody else... that's doulbe standards and fair is fair. And he got more than a few little details wrong, he got a lot of things wrong, and then bashed Floyds saying "I know ALL the history Floyd, I know more than you!" then went on to get things from this so called load of history knowledge wrong, the only thing that we can all agree with is the overall message that was sent "fight the best and you will get the overall respect you deserve" as you said.

But, in RA's defense, Floyd as the Boxer should have handled the pressure better, plenty of stars get pressured in interviews, do I agree with it? No, but it happens so people can sell themselves... so Floyd should of kept his cool, but instead got pissed and made himself look pretty ****** too.

After the interview, both guys made themselved look a little ****** and RA sounded like a hypocrite, but his overall message was right... and I respect him for being a Boxing fan and wanting that to happen. What I don't respect is when a star calls in to your radio show and disrespecting him, he is doing them a favor by getting people to tune in, show some respect... he was doing RA a favor cause it helped popularise his radio show.

But, I do agree with you... Floyd should fight them, cause it will enhance his legacy, and as a Boxing fan I wanna see big fights... but I just wanted to be fair here. Don't worry either, I aint a nut hugger or a *****, Floyd is my favorite fighter... but when I think he is wrong I will say (like when he was getting racial a few months ago... I honestly called him out on it). And you are right, sometimes the fighter can make the fans look ******, it happens.
