the "circus freak who happens to box" comment was unfortunate. Personally i think that was a bit out of order, and undermining your opponents boxing skill doesnt really help to sell the fight too well. Think valuev will stay cool though, hes not reacted yet, i dont think he will in the ring either. Not that it matters, hes not a good enough class of boxer to beat haye, regardless of how angry he is.
yeah i dont doubt it mate, and alot of it has been to do with hayes endless supply of insults, i just think he should have stuck to the size of nicolays head and his general ugliness/monsterishness. Valuev boxed for years before anyone recognised him as more than a 'circus act,' something im sure haye realised and said deliberately to get under his skin. it just left a bit of a sour taste in the mouth for me, and claiming that your fighting a 'circus act' isnt the best if you're then going to be claiming to be a legitimate world champion once you beat him
Unfortunately... I just wish there were more Haye fights to back up the talking, and believe me i used to be on that train...
He's an exciting fighter and I hope once he has this belt, he can get good fights. If you look at all his fights, he's been chasing like Mormeck, even Macca was under Frank Warren. He did promote Monte and him, but it seems like he's never really been the champ. Even if he wins the WBA, he won't have power over the Klits when it coems to negotiating.
Golden Boy didn;t seem to really do much for him. Infact they are pretty cursed ATM lol.
I started liking Haye ever since he KO'd Maccaranelli...lol...the whole thing was entertaining. From the KO...to the in ring celebration....capped off by the post fight interview. I laughed for weeks!
