Better fight, Mtagwa vs Lopez, or Perez vs Agbeko

Better fight, Mtagwa vs Lopez, or Perez vs Agbeko ?

Have to be the two best fights of the year so far imo, although Rhodes vs Moore, Truscott vs Simpson were good domestic fights they were not on this level imo.

Which was better then, Mtagwa vs Lopez, or Perez vs Agbeko?

Depends on what you like. Lopez-Mtagwa was more dramatic, Agbeko-Perez had more sustained 2 way action.

Yeah two way action is what i prefer TBH, thats probably why my preference is Barrera vs Morales over something like Corrales vs Castillo, which of the fights did you prefer anyway, out of Mtagwa vs Lopez, or Perez vs Agbeko?

While both were entertaining and great fights, I prefer Agbeko-Perez because IMO the skills on display and the quality of the fight were at a higher level than that of Lopez-Mtagwa.

Lopez-Mtagwa was more dramatic but for a good portion of the fight it was just two guys winging bombs. I've got no problem with people saying it was better though.

It's also for this reason I prefer the trilogies of Vazquez-Marquez and Barrera-Morales over Gatti-Ward.

I hear you there, both men showed excellent defence even though it was a complete war.

Personally Lopez-Mtagwa because it had me on the edge of my seat at the end of the fight.

After a few rounds of Perez-Agbeko I was just admiring the two guy's workrate and determination but for some reason those types of fights don't put me at the edge of my seat, not enough drama or something.

No thats fair. I to was on the edge of my seat for the Lopez fight, Lopez was on the verge of being Ko'ed right there so yeah i can see that to, its pretty hard to split them.

I also prefer the ebb and flow of the Agbeko-Perez fight. It seemed the guy controlling the fight switched constantly, whereas Lopez dominated the first 7 or so rounds and Mtagwa the rest of the fight.

I think you hit it on the head there for me. One fight was competitive when the other guy turned it up after losing how many rounds, it also had a dramatic conclusion. The first round of the Agbeko-Perez could of been the last round, every round was non stop punching back and fourth action.

I still dont begrudge anyone picking the Lopez fight though, the last few rounds were pure suspense.

Lopez-Mtagwa was a bit of a Rocky story for me, having watched many of Mtagwa's past fights. I have a great amount of respect for him and he's almost always in entertaining fights but I wasn't sure whether he could go more than three rounds against Lopez.

Turned out I was wrong and he ended up giving Lopez by far the toughest fight of his career, nearly knocking him out several times. Didn't quite get the job done but came closer than anyone would have expected.

Agbeko vs Perez was another great fight that I watched live but it didn't have the same amount of "drama" for me. It may have had better and more skilled and consistent action though.
