All people talk about is the plaster, BUT

What I really want to know is how did Antonio Margarito with his slow predictable punches land over 300 punches flush on cotto's face? did the plaster help him there too? No it's because Margarito throws straight punches down the pipe and Cotto seems to have real trouble with straight accurate punches, he beat Mosley and Judah because their punches were looping, they may have been fast like manys but zab never threw more than one punch at a time and mosley didn't seem to throw anything other than hooks, hear it here first, cotto will be outclassed

So... as it turns out, you seem to be wrong about everything in this post.

I will say one thing and then move on... you literally just said that Margarito throws straighter and faster punches than Mosley and Judah. Mosley and Judah are both about as fast as anyone in the game, and Judah ONLY throws straight punches, minus the uppercut, which drilled Cotto.

Good argument though, A for effort.

He has to be pretty fast to get there with a Margarito straight punch quicker than a Judah or Mosley looping shot anyway... those dudes are too fast.

        By the way:

Judah definitely threw the 1-2 against Cotto.

I will give you that Mosley doesn't ever really throw straight punches though.

The fundamental disagreement that we have on this issue is that I believe that it is just Margarito's ridiculous amount of pressure style is much worse for Cotto than anything else. Judah is only good when he pressures, but he refuses to (hence why his career is dead) and Mosley tries to stay in the pocket and throw quick combinations. If you don't back Cotto up, you are in trouble I think.

Anyway, sorry for sounding like a complete F in my first post... I have a bad habit of sounding like a **** when I argue things, so... forgive me.
