i didn't see or hear pac say he was going to have it easy with cotto. here some logic for you:

people are talking "bullshiiiiiiiit" (not particularly boxing smart)

    pac said..."nothing of the sort"

idiots on boxingscene say "pac is taking it lightly....blahblah,"

concensus idiots on boxingscene are taking what people say as what's coming out of pac's mouth. overall, how are you thinking he is going to come in rusty when he's been displaying the ability to follow the game plan and work on his flaws. if anything it has helped gather CONFIDENCE in using things he didn't have previously to increase his overall skill.

cotto's been a punching bag in 2 out of his last 3 fights so it should be familiar territory then for pac.

I think Pacman may come in a little rusty on fight night, yeah he may be training his ass off and sparring but sparring and fighting are 2 different things.
You could look at it the other way -- he's fresh because his last 3 fights were easy and he took no punishment since nobody could land anything significant on him, yet he's active enough not to become rusty. I'll take a guess now and say no way is he gonna be rusty on the 14th.

nah...Just because he overwhelmingly defeated his last 3 opponents, doesn't mean he didn't gain anything from that. That's like saying Tyson was rusty in his prime when he was destroying cats, because they didn't give him enough of a challenge, or something

Plus confidence. Buzz sawing through diaz, dlh, and hatton had to be good for the man's confidence. And confidence is vital for a fighter.

Enough with the "he's smaller"..or "he's rusty"..Fact is, Pac is in his prime.. best shape of his life...as fast as ever... more powerful than ever...and comfortably settling in to 147... Cotto better realize this and prepare accordingly, or he's in for a rough night on the 14.

The thing is they are throwing him in a 10 or 12 foot ring with guys 10 or more punds heavier than him pushing him around for 12 rds several times per week- he will be ready for a war on the 14th. Roach knows that Pac has had a relatively easy run in his last few, the Diaz fight was legit but Pac was just too much.

I think Pac trains for the best in every fight which may be why he makes the fights look so easy.

I think getting in only two rounds vs Hatton might factor in, but really Manny's never rusty and always in top shape. He should be fine.

I know some of the *******o's don't like to hear it but its true.

Cotto knows it too which is why he keeps saying he ain't Oscar, Hatton or Diaz.

Pac is gonna have to work for this one. His last 3 fights have a lot of people fooled.
