Next year’s most sensational boxing event was announced during the Wednesday morning general assembly meeting at the World Boxing Council’s 47th annual convention – “Night of Champions” is scheduled to be held in Cardiff, Wales, in November, 2010. The first Night of Champions – Noche de Campeones - was held in December, 2006, in Cancun three months after Hurricane Wilma had destroyed much of the Mexican resort. WBC is putrid and vile
They will allow the Berto/Mosley bout "if" Mosley apologizes for abandoning the WBC belt to challenge for the WBA trinket. They don't get it. Who gives a **** a55 about the ****** belts. Belts these days are vehicles for big pay days and a stepping stone for recognition. An organization that ranks John Ruiz #1 contender heavyweight has zilch credibility. The WBC are a total joke - not that any of the sanctioning bodies aren't. You know things are bad when the WBC look worse than the WBA (champion, super champion and interim champion in one division?) and the WBO ('Earn' a mandatory shot with money!). List time:
* Forcing Mosley to kiss their ass in order to fight Berto for their title. Who do they think they are? What the **** is an organisation doing taking something like this personally? In what way did Mosley 'abandon' then?
* Ordering the 'unification' of their normal belt and their interim belt in the Light Heavyweight division. All they want is the extra sanctioning fees, which is why they made the Dawson vs Johnson fight for their interim belt.
* Their insistence on a rematch between Froch and Dirrell. Now Dirrell certainly deserves a rematch, but why won't they allow the Super Six tournament sort it out? They seem completely oblivious to the possibilities that if Dirrell gets knocked out of the tournament then surely he wouldn't be worthy of his rematch and that Froch might not even be champion by the end of the tournament!

That's a joke.
I wonder if they'll be able to schedule Froch-Dirrell 2 during the tournament, I would prefer they didn't though.
Herbie Hide has been waiting for his title shot for a while, looks like he'll have to wait a bit longer.
I would love to see the winner of Dawson-Johnson to fight the winner of Pascal-Diaconu 2, should be really good fights no matter who wins the 2 fights.
