The point I think he is making is that tickets are still out there and the term sold out can sometimes be misleading. The promoters for whatever reason made a lot of tickets available to second party sellers before the the fans get a chance and I hate that. The fans should get a equal shot. What seems to happen with that though is they can call the fight a sellout out sooner because the scalpers have already purchase a bulk of the tickets. This fight needs to do well for boxing's sake and I think it will. I think the thread starter is trying to make the point that this fight may have sold no more or l;ess tickets then some pervious fights that were not conisdered sell outs. Eitherway I know I will be purchasing the fight on PPV and thats what people look at the most. It should be a win for boxing.

I've bought Jets tickets 2 days prior to them playing New England and got them cheaper in a package of 4 than if I would've went straight through Ticketmaster or the gate. A good amount of People purposely wait a week or so before the event for that particular reason. Again, it seems like you want this event to fail for some odd reason.

It makes no economic sense for brokers to sit on tickets. They are valueless at 9pm on Nov 14.

Is StubHub a broker?
No. The tickets listed on StubHub come directly from season ticket holders and other fans. StubHub simply manages transactions between the buyer and seller. The event can still be sold out.

Me too. These third party ticket sites should be outlawed. They get people in India to go on and scoop up all the tickets then resell them for 300% profit. Stub hub is just a comercialized version of this guy.


To be honest, I'd rather give the extra money to that guy then this guy, the founder of Stubhub, aka the biggest scalper in the world.
