Chris Arreola's Foe May Come Down To Minto, Rossy

BoxingScene.com has learned that heavyweight Chris Arreola will face either Derric Rossy (22-2, 12KOs) or Brian Minto (34-2, 21KOs) on December 5 at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. Contenders Michael Grant and Malik Scott have also been mentioned but the Rossy and Minto appear to be the two names at the top of the list. Anything can change at the last minute and HBO has to approve the selection. Paul Williams will clash with Sergio Martinez in a middleweight main event. HBO will televise both fights. [details]

This suspension by the WBC makes no sense. Wasn't the fight on HBO, so what's wrong with swearing? Was there action taken on David Diaz after he lost his WBC title to Pacquiao, because the f-bombs in that post-fight interview were taken to another level.... I don't recall any suspension there.

Well I guess Arreola does deserve a soft touch after the drubbing he took. Hopefully he can erase any of the listed dudes in short order, in spectacular fashion.

Arreola-Minto might turn out to be a good fight.

Brian Minto never makes it an easy night. Sure the kid is beatable, but he brings his best effort every fight and if you don't, you're in trouble. So while he could be a crowd pleasing highlight fashion type of win for Arreola, don't think for one moment if Minto is chosen that it's a "soft touch" for Arreola. Especially for Arreola.

this is a joke. Arreola does derserve a soft touch after the beating he got but he shouldn't be able to do it on HBO. We went from Mosley vs Berto to Willams vs. palvik to Willams vs. Martinez in a middleweight bout and Arreola vs. some club fighter. Dec. 5 got all screwed up.

Get the man an easy rebound opponent. he took a sustained poundin over the whole damn fight. He needs some renewed confidence, especially given how he broke down. And fuck Suliaman. That suspension is flat out ridiculous. Cussin>catchweight belts Jose.

There not contenders, there pretenders. And if Arreola is suspended for curseing then David Haye should have been banned from boxing by now from all the crap he has gotten away with. So what if he cussed, look at all the **** Haye has done.
