Many have made Manny Pacquiao to be this.. lets say Godzilla type fighter, The Bruce Lee in boxing. Bruce Lee was known for taking on all newcomers anyone anytime and any place. That's how Manny Pacquiao looks. But some say its just hype that he's very good, but he isn't that great. At least not great enough to beat a real in his prime Welter Weight fighter. A Miguel Angel Cotto.
They said Oscar De La Hoya was drained, Ricky Hatton was overrated. Well no boxers is perfect and that Hatton beat Kosta Tszyu and gave Floyd Mayweather Jr. a run for his money. I say that's good enough. De La Hoya fought almost everyone and beat some of the best. Was he drained? Maybe, but Manny didn't know it. Manny was like Bruce Lee- I'll fight him- the bigger guys I beat the more my legend grows.
Sure lets be real no fighter is perfect and nothing is really fair in boxing. Fighters get older and some become shot after many battles. Its only a matter of time and risk. Ask Muhammad Ali?
But still there's the Hype. But the Hype will be answer once and for all on Novemember 14. For good or bad who knows. Thing is Manny is still Man enough to take the risk. He's not looking on anymore in the outcome of a fight to see if he should fight this cat or not. He's in the fight. Victorious or not Manny has my respect and is a living Legend.
If you believe or not the Hype I have a feeling that will be answer on this month Saturday 14. Yeah right after Friday the 13, but don't be scared, because the Pac-Man isn't.
