Anyone who saw Valuev vs Barrett?

No one has ever really hurt valuev but then has valuev ever really faced a puncher? certainly not for a few years at least

I think Gerald Nobles landed a couple of heavy shots on him. I think Ruiz buzzed him a bit as well.

Lampley and Steward seemed to think Valuev was buzzed once by Barrett early in the fight, but judging from Nicolay's expression he wasn't hurt at all.

Barrett hit him flush with his best punches at least 20 times, but Valuev didn't seem affected. After the initial time, the HBO commentators gradually came to realize Barrett's best shots weren't hurting Valuev at all.

Valuev did show he's easy to hit with a big punch. A really hard puncher like Wladimir or Tua might have done some damage.

Barrett did buzz him pretty good in the first round but Valuev came back blazing. Valuev was buzzed but by no means that hurt. I think it looked a little worse than it actually was.


Later in the fight it was Barrett jumping up to punch Valuev and getting beaten on in the process.

I feel Valuev has regressed since then.

Yes he did. Barrett was swining for the fences becaue he was in trouble. He buzzed the big man but it still was only a matter of time.
