Because 145 is an entirely reasonable catch weight and anyone can see Pac is a tiny Welterweight.

cotto already is clearly way bigger than pacquiao but i don't think the fight should be for the WW title if its not at 147. Idk maybe your right because it would be great for pacs legacy but his legacy is already huge and even bigger if he beats cotto. but yea 147 mmm probably woulda been great because it shouldnt be for a WW belt at 145, but i think the size diff is so huge it isnt too much to ask for a catchweight.

Two pounds forces Cotto to drain slightly and work harder to make weight. Still, I doubt it will have too much of an effect on him.

To try and discredit a guy who was fighting at 130 only a few fights ago for fighting one of the best WW's in the world at 145 is nothing short of a DISGRACE.

I agree if youre not gonna let it be at 147 then it shouldnt be for a belt.

dunno, manny shouldve fought cotto at 140 since that's his own weight class..

but then again, floyd shouldve fought jmm at 144, or even cotto at 145. for sure he wont agree to an actual threat at own weight class at 147

Im not discrediting him, but rather giving credit also to another fighter who is hated upon on this site daily.
