    FACT!
So by using this logic. your logic. Andre Berto is fighting smaller guys. Andre Berto is picking on smaller guys. Right. Berto began his career HIGHER than 160 and has had more fights at MW/JMW lever than WW.

    And, that is a fact.

So I will wait for your thread about "Why dont people diss Berto for fighting smaller fighters?"

I am just using your own logic...

Because it's more fun to diss him for fighting like an arachnophobe in a cupboard full of spider webs.

Williams comes in for fights at WW at 145.5.

Mayweather comes in for fights at 144 at 146.

              .....

why isnt anyone knocking Williams for picking on smaller fighters but they get pissy when Mayweather fights "1" fighter naturally smaller than him?

Also when people mention Williams why do they forget that Carlos Quintana boxed his ears off in the first fight.....i do give him credit for smashing Quintana the 2nd time but do people really believe that Williams (this monster that everyone avoids) who was out smarted by Quintana the first time would not be outsmarted and outboxed by Mayweather?

would love to hear NSB's thoughts on this subject
The reason people don't diss him for it is one: If he can get to WW, and he spent most of his career there so far, he is a WW. Answer this. Was Hopkins a MW when he was fighting at 160 or was he a LHW because that's where he started? Two: He is willing to fight anyone at any weight from 147 to 160, no matter how big or who it is.

Whether or not he started as a MW, he got down to WW, just like Hopkins who went from LHW to MW. He was still a MW right?

The other difference is that Williams struggles to get fights. He is not the main star of boxing that can get any fight he wants. If he could get any fight he would have fought every guy from WW to MW by now.

The other thing is he is not telling someone to come up to meet him. He is fighting anyone who is willing at whatever weight they are at. He wouldn't ask Cotto to come up to MW, he would go down to WW. He didn't ask Quintana to come up to MW, he fought him at WW and he's not asking Martinez to come up, Martinez himself wants it at that weight.

I knock him all of the time for doing this because this is exactly what he was doing, great post he deserves no credit for any wins against WWs....except for maybe Marg because he is bigger. In boxing and just as a general rule your natural frame is as is regardless of things you do to change your weight up or down and there is a weightclass that all fighters should be fighting in exclusively.....PWill is a MW and should not and never should have been fighter smaller fighter than him.

If P-Will can make 147 comfortably how can he be a MW? Pavlik can not make 154 comfortably, sturm can't do it or Sylvester. I doubt Winky can make 154 comfortably still. Those are MWs. However, P-Will can still make 154 easy and might still be able to make 147. So he should get credit from everybody with any WW wiins he gets.
