I love the title of this article, it sums up Dawson's entire career, and what his entire career will be. Chad doesn't have the most exciting style, and he doesn't have the "wow" factor of a power puncher, but what he does have is amazing athleticism, great speed, great skills, and a ton of determination.

Chad is looking to make his mark in this sport and so far no ones been able to stop him.

What's funny to me is how people discount Dawson but then when you match him up with anybody he will usually come out on top. Think about it, people say if Dawson entered the Super Six, he would become the immediate favorite. That's saying Dawson is better than Abraham, Kessler, Froch, Dirrell, Ward, and Jermaine Taylor.

Just hearing words from Chad's mouth by reading this story is why I can't stand the motherfucker. He says he only wants big money fights. Translation: I'll only fight guys who have one foot in retirement just because they have name recognition. This is the reason why I don't want this guy to at or near the top because he's got the same attitude that Juan Ma, Berto, and Floyd does. He didn't take this rematch because of courage. Just like the story alluded to, he wanted to go down and fight smaller guys at 168 to weasle out of this fight.

And does clean effective punching count for anything anymore? After the first couple rounds, it was Chad Dawson spitting blood in Mustafa's spit bucket after every round was over and his wife had the look on her face like he was in Leatherface's torture chamber once the fight was over with. Glen better KO this boy if he wants the win, or else those ***** ass judges that have been appointed by Jose Sulimain are gonna take it from him again if he doesn't.

And Dawson will never face a hard puncher unless he's well compensated for it. Johnson doesn't have that one hitter quitter in his arsenal, so this one is going the distance with Chad getting beat up and getting another undeserved win probably.

Does Glen Johnson apply to the first bolded statement?

Dawson should not be thinking about getting 'big money' fights with Hopkins and Calzaghe. The chances of those fights happening are highly unlikely.

Instead, he should be thinking about taking out Pascal and Cloud

Who did you want him to fight? a bunch of unknown younger opponents when the older guys where there, notable, and willing to fight? Its not his fault that the top tier of the LWH division were all older guys on their way out soon before he came along.

I'd throw you some green k, but I'm out. The Lightheavyweight division is better now than what people make it out to be with Cloud, Dawson, and Pascal in the mix. Cloud is better than Pascal by far though.

I agree that it's better now. There's also a good young fighter named Nathan Cleverly coming up the ranks in Wales. He's probably a year or two off from being a top ten contender, but he's a good prospect for the division.

Idk about Cloud being better than Pascal. At the moment, I see them as fairly even, maybe a slight edge to Pascal. However, I think Cloud would give Dawson more trouble.

They are both exciting fighters though.

Yes and no at the same time. It was a necessity for Chad's rep to take this fight and he did. Props to him for that. But any person who follows Glen Johnson's career know that the clock is ticking for him. So yeah, he does have one foot in retirement. But he's a tough guy who is less marketable than someone like Hopkins, Jones, and Calzaghe. So by Chad taking this fight at least he is showing that he wants to put some work in before going for the absolutely big names. This is already true by him fighting Adamek (when he wasn't as highly regarded as he is now) and Johnson the first time.
