Mayweather Versus Pacquiao/Cotto - Who'd win?

i went downstairs just to find my dad and brother watching the yankees/phillies game. so the manny/cotto fight comes up and both my dad and brother seem to agree that "cotto should win but mayweather would eat them both alive". i strongly disagree since i believe both pacquiao and cotto would beat mayweather if the fights ever took place. they say mayweather would make them look bad and that he'd outclass and outbox both. what are your opinions regarding the subject?

i'd pick pacquiao and cotto to win a decision over mayweather (even though i do believe pacquiao and cotto are both capable of winning by tko in the late rounds). in fact, i believe manny would be a real nightmare style wise for floyd.

first, for manny or cotto to beat mayweather the judges have to be the kind that tend to score the fights to the more aggressive fighter.

second, i honestly don't think manny would be able to hang with mayweather, he would definitely do much better than marquez but mayweather will not live up to any catch weight even if they agree on one. Manny can definitely destroy mayweather at Jr. W but that is not going to happen.

third, cotto would have a better chance to beat mayweather, cotto is strong enough and skilled enough to make it a good fight. the only way mayweather wins is if he turns into a bigger version of pac. I don't think that will happen.

Floyd would be favorite vs both. But both cotto and pac bring some tools that could pull the upset. Floyd likes to go to the ropes and that's a mistake vs either guy

Pac has the speed to go after Mayweather effectively. Cotto has the chin to take the fight inside and keep it there to do damage properly. The only questions for Pac are a) does he have the Defense to stop Mayweathers vicious counters and b) the chin to weather punishment that Mayweather will inflict? Cotto on the other hand is a very good all around boxer with a strong chin. Cotto will have the strength against Mayweather. The only way either can beat Mayweather is if they knock him out. Mayweathers boxing skills are too good to lose by decision. I would say neither beats him. Cotto loses a close decision. Manny gets stopped because of lack of Defense.

After the 14th I'll probably have an answer for this.
The Pac-Cotto fight should definetly help me make up my mind.

pac and cotto can't beat floyd, but floyd gotta go do 50/5o w/ pac to make the fight happen...

floyd can dictate the purse on cotto tho.

What Pac said about Mayweather is true. He fights for money not Greatness or for the Fans. He is a great fighter no matter what happens. I can see a fight with Cotto happening but not with Manny. Both fighters EGOs are too big to let that fight happen. they both are gonna want 60%.

mayweather beats both, he would embarres manny pac man that would be a eay fight for him because he would pick him apart easy. now cotto would be a tougher fight for him but still cotto would be able to hit him, as long as mayweather is in the center of the ring cotto wont have a chance
