According to Williams' people, he walks around at 155. Tommy Hearns was similar in a way where he was tall and lanky, but he wasn't killing himself to make WW when he was there. Williams is one of those oddities where can probably make 147 and 154 no problem. Prior to the Pavlik fight, his team said he was having trouble making even 158. If Williams was offered a fight with Floyd, I guarantee he'd make 147 with no problems.
As far as Cotto and Mosley, there's no reason why both these guys shouldn't get a crack at Floyd. Step out of the box of being a hardcore fan of a particular fighter and look at both match ups. You're saying you wouldn't buy both these PPVs if they happen in 2010?? I find that hard to believe.
If Williams walks around at 155 than why did he try and fight Pavlik at 160, and when that was postponed, fight the 154 Martinez at 160 rather than just losing one pound to go to 154?
He is too big now.
Im all for a Williams fight if it is possible.
And you must not have read the first post. I did not say this is what I want to happen, but using the logic RA did in his interview, this is what HE would want to happen.
Getting tired of people using Mosley being 38 as a reason Floyd shouldn't fight him. Shane Mosley is the best welterweight in the world right now, if fighters couldn't get big fights past the age of 38 Hopkins ancient ass would have retired a long time ago, but he didn't and he is still beating guys half his age and getting big fights. Shane Mosley being the best welter in the world is why Floyd should fight him, age doesn't matter.
And Floyd has absolutely no excuse AT ALL if he doesn't fight Mosley or the Pac-Cotto winner for his next fight, maybe I'll cut him some slack if he fights some ranked welter in December since he said he wants a fight then.
Did you not read the thread at ALL?
I used the logic RA using when dismissing DLH as a legit opponent. He was bigger than Floyd, but was too old. If thats the case, Mosley, who is older than DLH does not fit into the same size same age/younger criteria he suggested.

How long have you been watching boxing?
Hatton v Mayweather was one of the most talked about fights for at least four years until it actully happened.
If you were a member of this board then you would have certianly known that.
So in his interview RA stated that Floyd needed to fight guys his own size. When Floyd countered that he faced De La Hoya at 154, RA claimed he needed to fight guys his own size that were younger than him.
Ok, RA, lets do it your way.
The fighters RA requested Floyd to face were primiarily:
Williams
Mosley
Cotto
Now, as we know, Williams fights at 160, and is not Floyd's size, so he can be eliminated according to RA's logic.
Mosley is Floyd's size, but unfortunately, is 38 years old, far older than Floyd.
According to RA's logic, we can eliminate him as well.
That really only leaves Miguel Cotto.
(Sure we could talk about a guy like Berto here, but lets be realistic, he is not ready and not proven)
Now we know Cotto is facing Pac on the 14th of November. And if Cotto loses, it would be foolish for Floyd to fight him, he should fight the guy that proved BETTER than the opponent RA suggested, Manny Pac.
If Cotto wins, Floyd should undeniably fight him.
Essentially, RA's logic used in the interview has Floyd fighting the winner of Pac vs Cotto, something that the majority of fans have been clamoring before since the fight and Mayweathers return have been announced.
Bingo, you hit the nail on the head, the guy contradicted himself so many times.
