didn't hatton duck floyd at 140? people tend to forget this---hatton was the one who said he wasn't ready for floyd as well as hatton's father---cotto didn't want it at 140 either---the reason floyd fought gatti is because gatti held the wbc title--although it was vacated by kosta---gatti was a big money fight for floyd and his 1st ppv fight to get his name out there so the big names would recognize him and want to fight him ala de la hoya and mosley---who floyd chased up in weight to fight---it's not floyd's fault they didn't want to fight in in their primes---same with judah before he lost to baldomir and wright...and kosta who lost to hatton who ducked floyd in 05 after watching him beat gatti up so bad---i feel mosley felt this way also---that's why he didn't want floyd who was at his most dangerous in 2005---how many times do i have to post this for people to realize that floyd wanted these fighter when they were considered in their primes---he had to fight gatti because it was a ppv fight for him when nobody wanted to fight floyd----now floyd is the guy to beat and shane has to wait in line---floyd will fight shane and pac/cotto people and he will fight paul williams i feel also and beat all of these guys---just wait and see---he just fought after a 2 year layoff---give it time----baldomir was the undisputed ww champion when floyd fought him and it's funny how floyd became the number 1 ranked welterweight after fighting that so called "bum" in baldomir, beating him easily---cotto fought zab after floyd beat zab and nobody gave cotto slack for it---mosley fought collazo after hatton beat collazo--an nobody gave shane slack for it it seemed on here anyway---margarito was exposed as a cheater with plaster, so it's no different from shane cheatng with steroids---yet---floyd gets all of the hate---it's bull****---hatton had to move up to fight floyd---but hatton walks around at 180 pounds usually--while floyd moved up five weight classes only to come down to 147 to figt hattom---remember floyd came down in weight to fight hatton after he fought oscar---so why couldn't shane do the same thing after he fought vargas in 2006? it's no different really---floyd is arguably the smallest of the ww's...because he moved up from the lowest weightclass...in the fastest time----yet--because he so damn good---and makes it look easy---he gets criticized---wake up people...

At the end of the day you can go on and on about floyd and his opponents but if you really look at it you can clearly see he has had a pretty easy ride in terms of opponents since 2003. Noone can convice me that hatton genuinely was a threat to floyd, im not knocking floyds win over de la hoya too much but oscars performance in that fight and his next two fights take a shine of floyds win because its pretty clear oscar was coming to the end of the road. He wasnt shot but he wasnt that hot either. It was still a good win for floyd but im not saying wow, that was a great win. For the people who say that floyd ruined oscar and hatton i dont agree with that at all, oscar wasnt badly beaten by floyd in any way and hatton looked very good in his next fight. Pac and floyd are just better than hatton at any time and any weight. Hatton was wide open for pacs punches and it looks like floyds dad just confused him even more than anything. I dont see how people can put down people like cotto, come on, hes fought cheato, mosley, clottey and now pac, would floyd still have his 0 after that lot, maybe or maybe not, either one of those four is a harder fight than anyone floyd has fought since 2003, would you not agree with that?

This thread is terrible. This is where all the emotionally battered floyd fans have grouped together to console each other after witnessing Floyd not only being owned by R.A. but more importantly owning himself.

FACT:

R.A. was a guest talking about his album at the radio station when someone brought up boxing, Floyd overheard this and called in all by himself. R.A. was NOT conducting a interview with this man,Floyd made a complete ass of himself and disrespected boxing as a whole "If I leave the sport is dead".

to all of floyd's defenders I will leave you with a few more factual statements.Two of them are a little **** but communication is everything when dealing with this bunch.

No one's gonna beat him if he's not fighting anyone of note. He ducked everyone at 140 and ducking everyone again at 147. The list of his opposition don't hold a candle over the list of fighters he DIDN'T fight. That's not even arguable.
