    Most successful boxer/trainer overall?

A lot of boxers retire and become trainers. However, it seems not too many great boxers become great trainers.

Guys like Freddie Roach and Floyd Mayweather Sr. had mediocre success as fighters, but went on to be very successful trainers.

Who is the most successful boxer turned trainer? Take into account their success as a fighter AND as a trainer.

Emanuel Steward was a good amateur, Golden Gloves winner, wasn't a pro though.

Eddie Futch was also a good amateur winning the Detroit GGs.

Jack Blackburn, trainer of Joe Louis was perhaps one of the better lightweights of all time.

Good point, McGirt won some low level titles as a fighter and as a trainer won "Trainer of the Year" in 2002.

These last few years have hurt McGirt's rep as a trainer though, as his fighters seem to lose more than they win.
