Froch: "If Haye Gets Hit, He's in Serious Trouble"

WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch is backing his countryman David Haye to defeat WBA heavyweight champion Nikolai Valuev on Saturday night. He gives Haye a lot of credit for his speed and movement. When the two of them used to spar, Froch was unable to catch Haye with any punches. He said the bigger man was also the quicker man. I'm not gonna lie, I .

So when the hell did Valuev turn into a ferocious puncher? And how in the hell is he going to be able to land anything besides maybe a few jabs?

Valuev's reputation is that he doesn't punch anywhere near his weight, which seems a bit of a puzzle, or the guy just doesn't follow through when he throws. Pushing rather than punching with "snap". I can visualise him missing and throwing himself off balance, slow to recover balance, probably because of his ponderous style. He'd leave himself wide open.....
