Maybe he was too much hype, but the man won the belt, which Gerry Cooney and a few others can't say.
Greg Page

I beg to differ badblood. The man had some ordinary fights but he had some rippers too. He was lazy and never went close to realizing his potential. In fights against LeDoux and Monroe he was awesome. Against Berbick, Witherspoon and Tubbs he was listless. He did however have vast amounts of talent. His speed was in the Ali/Holmes/Dokes range and he hit harder with the right than all of them. He took a good punch and had a jab second to Holmes in the heavies. But yes, motivation was his prob. With the dedication and professionalism of say a Holmes i firmly believe he would have met Tyson in Tyson's initial title bout. I remember Witherspoon knocking his mouthpiece out and Page being so unbelievably fast actually caught it.Comment

Greg page would beat he **** out of Ruiz, Byrd, Brewster and give Vitali a damn good fight at his peak no doubt, he would be a really decent champion if he were around now, Bad blood you really shouldnt judge people on the end of their careers dude. In his prime Greg would probably unify the belts at this present time.
he is to be inducted into the IBHOF also this year which doesbnt happen if you "suck"
Asides from this Greg and his tragic last fight have lead to reforms in boxing bills across the US, and his constant battle against his injuries is an inspiration to us all.
i dont think the words Greg Page and suck should be used on the same page, let alone the same sentence.Comment

He was extremely talented. Falls into the "wasted talent" category.
Fat, lazy, frustrating S.O.B.Comment

Many of his fights that happened, Greg didn't look the best. However, if you ever get the chance, see his fight versus Marty Monroe, that's the best fight that Greg has had as a professional. He completely broke Marty down.Originally posted by badbloodBro, I wouldnt excatly call him a champion. If you havent seen him fight, you need too. You'll agree that the guy was garbage.Comment

Damn dark side, they get all the good ones. Its just not fair.Originally posted by SliqueJabHe was more of wasted talent then unfulfilled potential. He was pushing his limit and became tragic victim of dark side of boxing.
