In that Cotto is up against a smaller, but faster handed guy.
I would venture to say that Paulie is also the better boxer, more slick and elusive and overall better defensively than Pac, which doesn't spell anything but doom for him.
Cotto may not be as fast, but he is fast, but more importantly he is a MASTER at timing faster opponents. You can be slower than your opponent but if you know how to time him, his speed is meaningless.
The difference between Pac/Paulie is in the punch, but Cotto has shown he can take punches from much bigger and more powerful fighters so Manny's punch won't mean much here.
The fight will play out similar to the Paulie and Judah fights, with Packy having some moments in the early rounds a la Zab Judah, but by the 4th or 5th Cotto will have slowed him down and will be on his way to a one sided pounding that ends by around the tenth.
Pac is in too good shape and too tough to be stopped early.
Thoughts?
