That clown Koncz forgot to mention was that Mayweather doesn't need Pacquaio either. He can fight Mosley, Clottey or even Cotto in his next fight and still make $15 million. How much do you think Pac will make in his next fight if he fights Julio Cesar Chavez Jr? I guarantee it won't be $10 to $15 million. He said Pac won't be bullied around in negotiations. Neither will Mayweather and I have a feeling that that was what was going on.

The haters on this site all want to believe that Mayweather is pricing himself out of a Pac fight. Actually, it is the other way around. If Koncz and Pac's other representatives think Mayweather is going to take 40 percent of the profits when he is drawing twice as many PPVs as Pacquaio, then Pac will be fighting Julio Cesar Chavez in his next fight for $2 million because, if given the opportunity to fight Mayweather or Pac in his next fight, I guarantee Mosley will choose Mayweather because he will make twice as much money.

The way Pacquiao and his camp are talking about Mayweather just
goes to show how much they want a fight with him because Floyd hardly
ever goes on record about why he won't fight Pac and Pacquiao don't
want to fight him. All of these guys are too greedy money wise to pass
      this fight up.

        Grus,

Do you get the sense that the Panyits are setting up excuses not to make the Mayweather fight?

It is clear that Floyd wants the fight, and like you said, he has been quiet and behind-the-scenes.

The Floyd Enviers like to say that Floyd only fights people he knows he can beat. Which says something that he is pursuing a Pac fight.

Mayweather has out sold Pacquiao with every opponent each has faced.
De La Hoya, Hatton and Marquez while Manny is more lovable and popular.
There is no reason why Pac should get more than Mayweather considering
Floyd retired and the P4P thrown went to Manny, he didn't earn it by
beating Floyd but yet inerited it. Watch so many reply and make a big
deal out of me just telling the truth.

I mean, you can look at it both ways. They could be saying this to bait
Floyd OR could be saying this to get out of fighting him. But on the real,
Pacquiao has had problems with patient, counter fighters his whole career
and Floyd is the best. The last time Pac fought a guy that could box he
squeaked away with a draw and a close win and the 2nd time is a lil
suspect. Who knows but either way if Arum and Pac don't take or try
to make a Mayweather fight happen then it is definitely something wrong
because WE all know Floyd came back to dethrown Manny and that's
why he took the JMM fight to set himself up for Manny. NO WAY Floyd
comes back for JMM and the sport of Boxing without targeting the main
man at the moment Pacquiao. When if that fight happens, we're going
to see how really good Pac is and he still going to get embarrassed.

mayweather's waiting for pac-cotto. if pac overcomes cotto, near or at par ala-hatton, then expect mayweather to chicken out with pac. he may face the loser of this fight.

What is Pacquiao starting to do now with Floyd?
And what did Mosley do to get out of fighting with Williams?
Floyd ain't the only one making excuses. Mosley wants Mayweather
bad now because he wants to get PAID and he already went on the
record and stated that after Margarito but he has the fans believing
he wants it for status and legacy. Homie wants that pay check.

They want to act like they don't need Floyd,or else PBF is goin to ask at least 60.

Pac is afraid of nobody and wants a great legacy,or else he wouldn't fight Cotto, something that Floyd should have done long time ago.

In no way PBF is goin to fight one of these guys:Pac,Cotto,Mosley,Williams...
It'sobvious when you listen that interview with RA the rugged Man..

Please tell me WHEN Floyd should have fought Cotto. Was it when Floyd was at 140 in 2004-05, called Cotto out, but Cotto was too busy beating world beaters like Kelson Pinto and Muhammad Abdullev to accept Floyd's challenge? Or was it after he beat Judah (April 06) Baldomir **11/06) and ODLH (5/07) in consecutive fights and Cotto had had exactly two welterweight fights against Hall-of-famers Carlos Quintana and Oktay Urkal and wasn't mentioning Floyd's name as an opponent?

Will all the haters on this site please enlighten us Floyd "nuthuggers" as to WHEN Mayweather was dodging Cotto? Also, please enlighten us on when Mayweather dodged Mosley after he tried on two separate occasions when Mosley was in his prime to secure the fight? If you can't provide some facts to back up your opinions, you should keep you mouths shut!!!

                      no.... 50-50 is fair.

pac was not "handed" the p4p title when floyd retired. he fought 3 times and was very dominant. floyd came back and beat a guy who was two divisions lower at him in a catchweight he didn't even make, whom pac faced twice, and already beat.

saying that the only reason pacquiao is recognized as the best fighter in world today is because of floyd's retirement is completely undermining pac's achievements.

i agree that pac doesn't need floyd to be considered a great fighter. he already is. and people are starting to question floyd's legacy. i think floyd needs pac more than vice versa. but this isn't about them. this is about what the fans want.

its the perfect fight. its gonna make money, would make boxing relevant again, and would definitely add to each fighter's legacy. and it would suck if it doesn't get made because of their egos
