He was certain for a gold at the Olympics, but was withdrawn because he didn't make the lightweight limit. He fights at LWW now. Kind of cheating I added him into the poll, but he made the team - thus he was somewhat an Olympian.

DeGale is looking better every time, he's impressing me most.

Yeah he won't seem to let them fight if it's not a PPV.

They must be doing a lot behind the scenes in sparring and such.

I know Tibbs is involved with a few of them, can't remember the rest of the trainers.

But he made a mistake offering the £1 million contract to DeGale. Boxing is about that determination and hunger to achieve greatness. Which can be subdued by a lot of money in the bank.



I kinda like DeGale, good personality. Seems to try too hard to impress the crowd and he slaps too much with his hooks.

What notable jr ww do you think he could beat now?

It's too hard to say.

I think he's one of Britain's best LWWs, considering he's only been a pro for a short while ( about a year? ) - that's quite impressive. He has never really been properly tested either, so we don't know about his chin. Although his speed and power looks good.

He beat Aleksei Tishchenko in the amateurs.

He is regarded as "one of the best pound for pound amateur boxers in the world" (USA Today).

I don't want to hype him too much, because he's so unproven. But as long as he doesn't have a major flaw, I think he'll go all the way.

Billy Joe Saunders looks to have settled in to the pro game the best so far IMO. Looks a tidy fighter too.
