    cotto can handle pacquaio's speed!!!

"We know he can and he knows he can but he will have to show everyone what he is capable of doing against this type of opponent. He will come out with a little more fire," said Santiago, Cotto’s trainer. "I not only think he can stay with the rhythm but I think he will enjoy fighting that kind of fight. It will be an interesting fight and Miguel will come out victorious by just doing what he always does, coming forward, throwing punches and being strong." Cotto is a completely new and untested water for team Pacquaio, being naturally bigger, stronger, with a solid chin.

    now they're talking!

Which speed though? Pacquiaos incredibly fast foot-speed, hand-speed, ducking-speed(when he bends his body down if Cotto tries going head hunting).

Pacquiao is fast as ****, I don't see how Cotto can win this. People keep saying look what Cotto did to Zab Judah. Has everyone gone completely insane? Zab Judah is ****, he got beat by Cotto, Floyd, Clottey and Spinks. It's not like Zab is an elite fighter he is a 2nd tier fighter whos biggest win is one of his fight against Spinks that he won.

And before ppl bring up the opponents Pacquiao lost to, its not like Pacquiao is the same fighter he once was. Pacquiao has improved greatly and also has the ring experience with more fights under his belt. The betting odds are right for this fight, Cotto is the underdog.

pac is a good fighter, but there are many flaws in his game..
he still does not have good defense.. he throws combinations and people think he's faster than he really is

Cotto may be able to handle PAC SPEED with power shots and with a constent body attack, but he ha to land first. He know how to cut off the ring and I think his body shots will catch Pac on the arm, neck and head if hes looking to duck a left hook to the head. What worries me i can he keep contant presure and I dont thank so. I fhurts PAC at anytime the fight will be over because Miguel is a better finisher when he ha you hurt. Hatton was just an ignorant fighter and Delahoya was shot. If PAC would've beat a real contender at 140 then I may have been convinced but lets be real he hasn't faced the ame scrutiny that Floyd ha faced for ducking prime opponents.

If Pac beats Cotto no doubt he should stay P4P ranked tied with Mayweather, because I feel Mayweather will beat PAC if they meet and then everyone will say Pac was to small. Right now I know Pac is ranked higher but that will be short lived if they ever fight. Marquez fight and the really crowded 140 division is waiting.

i totally agree about PAC not really being tested at the higher weight class. He gets credit for fighting Morrales, Marquez, Barrera, but he ducked Raheem and all of the other greats at 140. Raheem I say because he dusted Morrales and Pac should have fotten the winner. Instead he fought a shot MORRALES who couldnt pull the trigger or fight greater than six rounds. There are too many good fihteer at 140 to get credit for a win over Diaz.

            Great post.

Pacquiao is not as great as fans and media make him out to be. His last 3 wins are garbage IMO because it came against guys like Hatton, De La Hoya and David Diaz. **** I can name you a bunch of guys that can destroy those bums. You got to go back to the 130 division to find the last time Pacquiao faced a live body and he got taken to the limit by Marquez and in many people's mind lost.

NOV 14 it all comes crashing down for Pacquiao.
