Darchinyan the next Ricardo Lopez?

Having KO'd long reigning undefeated champ Pacheco and now KO'ing Sikali to unify, Darchinyan is making quick progress. He apparently spars with Bantamweights in preparation for his fights and gets the better of them. His non stop attacking style is great to watch and I see him KO'ing Wonjongkam next.

Hopefully unlike Lopez Darchinyan moves up in weight and fights the likes of Hernandez, Castillo, too sharp and ultimately Rafael Marquez. At least this sparks some interest in the lower weights.

I highly doubt you will ever see another Ricardo Lopez. Darchinyan would have to hold that tilte for 10 more years and make 20+ defenses of it to mentioned with Lopez.

He's a nice fighter, but he is nowhere near the skill level of a guy like Lopez. Thats not a knock at all, but Lopez is just one of those guys that comes along one in a generation.
