Froch tries to boost his resume with talk, don't believe it. I believe it all comes down to his Calzaghe obsession.

If Calzaghe, after the Jones fight, tried to land a fight with either Taylor (1-2 in his last 3), Pascal or Dirrell, he would have been accused all kinds of ****. Right?
I don't base my opinion on what odds makers decide should happen. Froch lacks the same ability that Taylor, Pascal, and Dirrell have but they all failed.....why? intangibles I say.....he is mentally stronger than most and it shows in his fights.

Joe has nothing to do with this scenario though, even if he was the truth.

Taylor was a shadow of his ows self, and still had a point lead over Froch.
Beat Dirrell with the smallest margin possible - and who has he beat?

Beyer - WBC champ at the time, Mundine and undefeated Andrade all got blown away.

Taylor (when Froch fought him), Dirrell, Pascal < Siaka(WBA), Lucas, Sartison
andrade is a journeyman, beyer is the definition of a paper titlist, mundine just sucks. the shadow of jermain taylor still beats all three of them. i dont think anyone disagrees with that. pascal holds a impressive win over diaconu at 175, which is more impressive than anything andrade, mundine and beyer ever done too.

kessler did blow those three bums away, ill give you that. but id take 3 hard fought wins over quality oposition over steamrolling 3 bums any day of the week.

I'm not trying to take anything away from Froch. He shows amazing hart in his fights, and it's the reason he got those wins.

In the fights against the two lowest rated in the tourney, he fought well enough for a close win, but didn't win by a margin big enough to place him much higher than them when I rate him.

Let's get this straight. You're saying that Froch has a better resumé than Kessler?

I had him a point up on Dirrell even though many think he lost here but we have to see how he does.....it won't be a cake walk for Kessler if he does win though like several have made it seem like it would be in this thread.....if Kess wins it will be a victory that he will know he had earned in a tough fight.

Andrade would be the end of Taylor.

Agree, Andrade could make a legit claim that he should be the champion going into his rematch with Bute......Bute was out on his feet and it should have been stopped.

hmm.. focused and in shape taylor boxes circles around andrade, with stamina to go 12 hed probably pitch a shut out.

i need more thana win over yusuf mack to say this guy can beat a guy of taylors stature.

For starters, Dirrell out boxed the very limited Froch and arguably won (at least how I watched it 4 times now). Kessler will not only do the same but will stand there and knock this fool out. If a VERY "green" contender can embarrass and expose Froch then someone like Kessler will DESTROY Froch.

I have it Kessler before 12.

If Kessler is prepared to go there and is mentally tough he should win but I have not seen him tested in that area yet....if Froch does go down for the count its going to have to be a Pac/Hatton type ko....Froch will not quit fighting and give in and its what has won me over about him inspite of his lack of natural ability.
If Froch dominate the fight - Kessler will be in big troubles, i agree on that. But Kessler's boxings skills, hand speeds, footwork, balance and counterpointing will be overwhelming
