How Good of a trainer is Floyd Sr really???

Self proclaimed greatest trainer of all time. But in my opinion he actually sucks as a trainer. He deserves credit for training his son but jr. is not solely his product. Jr was able to learn from the entire Mayweather family and the US. olympic team coach and other fighters from the team.

What Floyd Sr i think is good at is being able to light a fire under fighter's asses. and get them motivated during a workout. But with that said i dont think he does much else very well.

He didnt really change anything or improve anything about Oscar delahoya. And he says it's not his fault Ricky Hatton didnt listen to what he taught him but a fighter's bad habits dont just suddenly show up during a fight if the trainer's been truly working to correct those habits after 2 full training camps. Just my thoughts.

floyd is naturally gifted and it doesnt have much to do with what his father has taught him. he would have been good with any trainer. he just needs to be kept in shape. as roger said "we dont bother with no strategy, he knows what to do in the ring"

He is a really good trainer in my opinion. Just that, he doesn't train fighters to fight, he trains them to box and it doesn't work like that. He is more fit for boxers like Guzman, Mayweather, Zahir, Funeka...those types.

floyd sr is no doubt one of the very best trainers in the world today, as for all time hes probably top10. great trainer..

he made oscar improve ALOT. he made him a two handed fighter, improved his right hand tremendously. he improved oscars jab, taught him new ways to use it and made sure he did use it once in the ring. he also mad ehis defense alot better.

you can see in the malignaggi fight sr improves hatton alot too. it was just in the pacquiao fight where hatton didnt listen bcuz he was pissed at sr. in the fight with paulie was the best of hattons career, better than kostya.. and you can clearly see floyds influence.. his headmovement, angles, jab.. then he threw all that away for the fight with manny. not sr's fault..
