Yes and No: Yes it does take a lot to be an exciting fighter and you risk losing because you are taking a lot of risks as well as burning out quicker than other fighters with more "boxing" oriented styles like Larry Holmes and Lennox Lewis...but NO, I don't fully agree with you with the Douglas example since Tyson was already on the slide and not training when he fought Douglas and like I've been mentioning, in the words of Floyd Patterson: "remember what got you there." Tyson fired what got him there and it cost him his chance of winning against Douglas. AA has yet to show signs of slipping and getting away from what got him there.
But yes, if we stick to one point, AA will not have a long career and the tread on his tires are quickly coming off compared to others, like Kessler.

In my eyes, Abraham won't age as much with his style as others do in boxing. It doesn't rely much on speed but timing and defense. And besides his war with Mirana his body wasn't tortured much up till now...

Ward reminds me of a ****tier version of Calzaghe with a mixture of Hopkins and clinches like crazy*he clinched alot against Miranda but not in his earlier fights so I don't know if that has to do with stamina issues or if he just had an off night or if Miranda was a big step up so he had to fight like that for whatever reason....

Basicallly, I don't think Ward has much power because maybe he has hand problems like Calz did. Wards last opponent was the brother of one of calzaghes opponents Tucker Pudwill. And its not hard to look like a knockout artist against a Pudwill

I think the clinching was a part of defence. Miranda is verry dangerous in the middle range and has big power, so you have either stay away from him or clinch. Ward did the right thing to win the fight, but it was not beautifull. Hes ok but nothing special, he will not beat Kessler. And hes the weakest puncher in the tournament.

Hes had a broken rip in a few fights, Marquez broke his rip, but hes a tough cookie and it doesnt affect him much.

Before his rematch with Miranda, he was suffering from a rip injury that broke up again in the fight...it also didn't heal out properly till the Marquez fight so Marquez could do some damage to it. Besides I don't know about any other serious injury in his career...

exactly, this is it right here, i was very impressed by that because it showed he wasnt one demensional.

when it comes to abraham i didint respect him all that much in that first miranda because i felt that miranda was done dirty, but i realize arthur has some extremely heavy hands and his style is very difficult to discern, he is one of the best fighters to ever fight out of germany in this generation IMO.

He must be made of iron.
I was more concerned about his hands and arms, since he absorbs a lot of punches with his guards, and punching power like his sometimes lead to fragile hands.

The Taylor win was impressive.. AA ain't have to go for the KO, but he did and it was sick. Fightin thru the cracked jaw wit Edison was impressive too.

Ward is kind of a prototypical boxer, he uses movement speed and alot of natural ability. his fight against miranda was a step up in competition and he smothered him and fought him on the inside where miranda was basically helpless. He has tightened up his defense because he used to get hit with alot of lackadaisical shots. hes an above average fighter but he hasnt had that career defining fight yet.

i might got to his fight against kessler since its 5 blocks away from me.
