Here's one of my posts from another Vitali/Lewis thread. This will shut the haters up.

    THE TRUTH

Vitali was clearly winning the fight 4-2 on all 3 scorecards. Lewis was badly hurt and was staggering around the ring like a drunk, he barely survived the 2nd round, was getting outlanded and was hurt again later in the fight.

    punches landed

    Vitali 156

    Lewis 102

Lewis was exhausted and worn down from the accumulation of punches, he collapsed onto his stool at the end of the 6th round, Vitali was the fresher of the two, he was a man on a mission that night and would've KO'd Lewis for sure if the fight had continued.

All the fans at Staples Center cheered for Vitali and boo'd Lewis after the fight. Vitali was the real winner of that fight, he battered Lewis into retirement.

    Lewis promised Vitali a rematch

Vitali destroyed Johnson in 2 and the scared Lewis retired like a coward shortly after that fight.

Lewis turned down 25 million dollars for a rematch and retired like a coward because he knew Vitali would destroy him and tarnish his legacy.
    Lennox>>>>>>Vitali in the ATG stakes.

I guess Vitaly sucks so bad that losing to him tarnishes everything Lewis accomplished.

By saying that you are dissing Vitaly. Do you even realize that?
Don't be ******, you know what I mean. I'm not dissing Vitali and losing to him wouldn't tarnish everything Lewis accomplished. There is no shame in losing to ATG Vitali Klitschko.

Boxing historians criticize Lewis a lot for getting brutally KTFO twice. Vitali would've KO'd Lewis in a rematch and it would've negatively affected Lewis' historical ranking. Lewis turned down 25 million dollars and retired because he knew he would get destroyed by Vitali in a rematch.

Historians don't really criticize him. He was a first ballot HOF'er. He is known as beating everybody who he stepped in the ring with. And, if he would of lossed to Klitschko and later Vitaly proved to be ATG then there would of been no shame in that since Lewis was passed his prime already.

For example there is no shame for Tito loosing to Roy. It didn't tarnish Tito legacy. It didn't tarnish Whitaker legacy in loosing to Trinidad. Ali legacy didn't get tarnished for loosing to Berbick. They were all passed there primes. Just like how Lewis would of been in the rematch.

Tito, Whitaker, Ali = shot fighters

Lewis was 37, that's not old for a heavyweight, he was still going strong. Vitali is 38, came back after a 4 year layoff and is still dominating.

Before their fight, Lewis said he trained hard, was very motivated, in good shape and wanted to keep fighting for a long time.

Lewis was coming off the big KO win over Tyson. It was arguably the biggest win of his career. In the Lewis/Tyson post fight interview Lewis stated "I'm like fine wine, I get better with age."

            Vitali RETIRED Lewis.

Lewis has been ducking Vitali for over 6 years. He is scared to death of Vitali.

Lewis was old WTF is you saying? Are you really saying Lewis was in his prime.

He was inactive for a year after he beat Tyson.

Lewis usually for all his fights he weight under 250. But, he was didn't train properly for the Vitaly. That is why he weight-in 255lbs a career high. He was old and out of shape... And, he still won FFS...

You didn't even put his best win. He finally beat injury; injury beat the **** out of him and had him shook in his fake ass retirement.

Vitali didn't look great against Gomez even if he knocked him down like 3 times. If I remember that fight correctly, Gomez fought very awkwardly and did cause Vitali problems early in the fight. But then Vitali figured him out and destroyed Gomez.

I'd say Gomez gave Vitali the toughest fight out of the three, because Vitali swept Sam Peter(Peter should be embarrassed most of all because Arreola clearly put up a better fight and didn't quit.)
