Pacquiao weighs about 155. What makes him a natural 130lb'er? He'd have to cut approx. 25lbs to make super flyweight nowadays.

But it isn't e=mc^2. That shows how matter and energy are related. Energy isn't the impact behind a punch, but force is. You are thinking of Force = Mass * Acceleration aka F=MA

Here's a movie that analyzes what's more forceful, a big thing moving slowly, or a small thing moving faster. They use a sumo wrestler vs Rampage Jackson.

This is all well and good. But a comparison between a UFC fighter and a Sumo wrestler measuring speed and power is ALOT different then comparing a Boxer with a Boxer. Especially when they are only naturally about 15-20 lbs different.
Its like comparing a Motorcycle to a Mack Truck as opposed to comparing a Camaro to a Firebird.

Tony hits way way harder than Pac......I can't take anyone seriously who thinks otherwise, Its not even a legitimate debate worth having.....Just know that believing Pac's punching power > Margarito's = Muppet.

toney walks around at 250 lbs. does that mean he's a natural heavyweight?

when a person says a guy is natural at a weight it's basically an opinion on what weight division he seems best suited for or best at.

in the old days if you walk around at 155 , you're a natural middleweight because that's the size of most fighters in the middleweight division.

in modern boxing guys walk around 10 , 15 , 20 lbs. or even more than the weight they fight at.

i have no problem with someone calling pacquiao a natural 130 or 126 or even 122 guy. pac might have added a lot of weight but his built is that of someone in those divisions.

if you look around the guys at 135-140 , pac has a smaller frame and shorter than a lot of the guys there.

if you look at pacquiao's frame and height , who is he closer to? juan manuel lopez or victor ortiz?

So, I guess, Pacquiao could EFFECTIVELY fight at 130 for his next fight?

don't know but he probably could if he tried hard enough. he weighed 148 fight night for hatton. he weighed 145 fight night the last time he fought at 130.

duran in his later years could no longer make 135 and fought at 154-160 does that mean he was not a natural lightweight?

floyd can't make 144. does that mean he's a natural welterweight?

people's natural weight is where their frame is best suited for.

duran is built like a 135-140 guy. floyd is built like a 135-140 guy. pacquiao is a bit smaller in frame than both so i'd say anywhere from 122-130.

where duran , pacquiao and floyd ended up fighting at the end of their careers is irrelevent to what their natural weight class is.

Yeah, he could but he couldn't fight effectively as Roach alluded in his statements. Pacquiao might have the build of 130 frame but the body composition, your organs, muscles, they need nourishment as cells mature. That's why they decided to move up. Can you ask Cotto to move down to 140 again?
