Why? They were the top ranked when he fought them. The guy is just held to a different standard.

Nobody else claims "greatness" like floyd does. So all that yapping sooner or later will lead to a challenger. A challenger (williams/mosley) that will never get a chance cuz mayweather will duck and make all sorts of lame excuses guaranteed.

They are just as guilty as Floyd is where not fighting Williams is concerned. Cotto stays on mute about Floyd, but Shane has called his bluff on national TV. Floyd looks like a punk now.

It must be because if Floyd has no problem fighting someone smaller than him than he shouldn't have a problem with Paul Williams wanting to fight him.

If Floyd feels beating J. M. Marquez really meant something then he shouldn't have any excuses if Williams beats him, because he's the one wanting credit for something he's not willing to do himself.

Isn't floyd campaining at 147??I'm just saying because so are Mosley & Cotto & a whole bunch of really good fighters,right!?So why should floyd be considered anywhere near the top at 147,if he hasn't beaten another top 10 fighter!!floyd beat a great lightweight lately,he doesn't want Mosley & hasn't made an attempt to fight any other good welterweight,why not??
