pac ain't no god in the philippines. american media hyped him to be that way. and just because some dumbass filipino commentators say so, doesn't mean its true.

he's a beloved sports icon. a very popular fighter, considered the greatest ever from the philippines. but despite what the american media says, filipinos don't offer their first born sons in his honor.

most filipinos watch him fight, and its because he represents filipinos in the world stage. nobody watches his films, listens to his music, and most don't give a damn about him unless he has a fight.

we filipinos are proud that we are represented by someone like him in boxing. but we don't pray to him or some other **** like that.

I wasn't trying to disrespect anyone with this topic, sorry if I did... The way I was saying it was more like the fact god as he is well-known in the Philippines like Calzaghe is god of wales All the big wale celebrities like Catherine Zeta Jones came out for Calzaghes fights.

Also that Hayden Pantierre girl comes out to alot of the klitschkos fights. I think she might share the same blood as them.

if he was treated like a god in the philippines, he would have won his congressional campaign before.

its cool bro. i just think american media has hyped pacquiao's popularity too much in the philippines to the point where some people around the world think that filipinos eat, sleep, and drink pacquiao. reality is, he's more like the michael jordan or ali of the philippines.

yes, he is very popular. god like? no....

I'm telling you even if he was qualified and with great oratory skills--Filipinos would still want Pacquiao to be a boxer simply because of their egos...."hey, people that's our man, Pacquiao, the only person that's REALLY internationally recognized by the media around the world. Without him we would still be known for our women and balut."

                      And you know it.
