freddie roach learned something from floyd mayweather sr. and that is how to talk to the media and be annoying. for some reason i find roach more irksome than mayweather but probably because mayweather is actually funny roach is just plain annoying when he talks about manny being able to ko one of the k bros (not really but you get the point). Cherrypicking, that is one reason why i like the ufc's policy of having no promoters in the business, they are the reason politics exist in boxing although a counter to that would be that how would all the great names exist in boxing w/o promoter? still it seems more counter-productive than actually productive to have promoters, evidenced in the recent years

Just read another Roach interview and he claims that Pac in the first week of trainning was already sparring for 10 rounds. That contradicts everything else he said form the beggining. I guess he will try to sell the fight any way he can, but at the same time Pac has so much media coverage that anything gets taking out of context ( there is another report floating around that Roach and Pac are splitting)

One guy called Hector Velasquez fought Manny at 130 and before the fight he said that he was the bigger stronger man and that he would bulverize Manny... hey! he even screemed at Manny face and raised his hands altogether like he was going to eating alive, this was after he landed a clean punch on Manny in the 1st or 2nd round but get what? same history over and over again Pacquio end up knocking out another man that tought that because of his size he would push Manny over.

a lot of people here think this is new for cotto to talk like this. he has talked like this before, is not overconfidence is just plain belief in what he can do.

manny has said before for this fight that he will ko cotto then on the next interview he say he will do his best and so forth. nothing wrong with that... cotto is counting above all on his power along with his skill to trump manny's speed and power...

i would be willing to be that the majority of the poeple who say cotto will gas have only seen his last 2 or 3 fights.
