  • I'm Not even a floyd fan, but what those radio host did was completely unacceptable. Plain and simple, you don't invite a celebrity on your show and talk **** to him the whole time. That Radio Hosts is a douche bag. "I ain't scared of you floyd" I'd like to see him say that to floyds face.

Why does it always revert back to PPVs? Nobody denies Floyd's talent and that people want to see him fight, but when people question his opposition in the last several years all of a sudden it's misconstrued as hate. Why? Is Floyd the only fighter we demand to fight other great fighters? That goes without saying in Boxing. But if you're calling yourself the best, as many, many fighters before Floyd have, you have to fight the best active fighters.

What's so bad about asking that of a fighter who's considered by many still the best in the world?

Come on bro, this Floyd Mayweather, not the Queen of England.

Many Boxers before Floyd have been chewed out by the media in some fashion with whatever issues or situations in and out of the ring that may have occurred.

        Comes with the territory.

          • He said if you can have Marquez move up from 135, why not move up and fight Williams? If it's OK to have a guy move up for a challenge why can't you move up? He shows that it goes both ways, plus Williams also campaigns at 147.

It's all about promotion. If you put enough money into a fight, it can be sold. The angle they promoted was that Marquez was P4P number 2 while the issue of him being a smaller fighter was minimalized.

People have to remember that criticism does not equate to "hating." I never hear any directors coming out and saying that Gene Shallot is a hater if he says their movie isn't good.

But than ask Floyd to fight Paul Williams?

Floyd had a point, if you are going to complain about weight classes....
Dont name other fighters in different weight classes to fight Floyd.
That simple. Cant have both ways.

If you think the Marquez vs. Floyd fight was unfair because Floyd was the bigger and stronger man or because Marquez was in a lower weightclass than floyd before the fight.

Than how do you in the next sentence say you want to see Paul Williams vs. Floyd Mayweather??? HOW DO YOU DO IT!!!!

By the same logic, wouldnt that fight be unfair?

Thats why People cant take Haters Complaints seriously, because it is not rational. THEY WANT IT BOTH WAYS!!!

They dont want floyd fighting smaller fighters from different weightclasses, but they want bigger fighters from differents weight classes fighting floyd???

            How is that rational????
How is this not a double standard???

That is why Haters Opinion doesnt matter in the long run.
because if it did, Mayweather vs. Marquez would not have sold
1 million+ homes !!! Real boxing fans know what it is...!!!

They are not clouded by hate !!

At what point does Mayweather disqualify himself, when he says that Pacquiao losing at 19 years old makes him a lesser fighter or when he says that Leonard is diminished by losing to Camacho at 41?

There is a big difference between valid criticism and hating. Criticism is being critical of things you dislike while giving credit where it is due, hating is being over critical to all matters and looking for the negative in all aspects while failing to acknowledge any positives.

No one is above criticism but when it goes to far you have to call a spade a spade.

Why? Because apart from Pacquiao NO ONE can claim to have faced better opposition! the number 2 p4p fighter in the world turned into a tuneup... Right! 43-0 younger, bigger built Hatton "he's smaller", 154 pound, not weight drained Hoya who was lineal and ring champion at the weight class, Floyd moving up to fight him, "Oscar is old". What's up with that?

Some of these guys are the same guys who are ok with Calzaghe retiring after fighting 2 40 year olds back to back and call him an ATG.
                    What's up with that?
