Super featherweight to Welter, whichever I want. Right now lightweight. I spar alot of guys at the gym 2years+ exp and havent lost yet, only loose to HW or guys 6ft+(im only 5'6) so Im pretty confident. Maybe the adrenaline will kick in too much on my first fight and run out of steem on 1st rnd, then Im screwed. lol.Originally posted by edenwat weight class you in???Comment

I dont have my usa/abf handbook with me but it seems that you are allowed to box with braces on. Certain things need to be taken care of though before hand. I am not sure but it seems that you will need a special mouthpiece. I am certain that you will need a signed parental waiver should anything happen to your braces during the match. I am not certain, being that I am visiting mom and my rule book is at home. Check into it with your coach to be sure.......Rockin'Comment

The sooner that you lose this "I cant lose" attitude the better off you will be. Remember that there is always somebody out there that can beat you. Especially being that you have only trained for 8 months. I had the same attitude going into a fight, I believe it was like my 4th or 5th amatuer fight, I put on the worst showing ever, thinking that I could just walk through this guy and that I couldnt be beaten. Not trying to pick on you here, just hoping to make you better prepared mentally for what you will run into in this sport.......Rockin'Comment

hey 2ndko,
5-7 is not bad. I started the same way, i was like 4-4 at one point when fighting in the juniors. This is all a learning experience and I hope that you are enjoying what your doing. The thing that people dont understand about amatuer records is that we never got to choose who we fought, if they were there then we fought them. So undefeated records are almost non existant in the amatuers. I know that you know this, I just wanted these people in the forum to understand it. After starting out 4-4 I won like 16 or 17 of my next 20. It was a great run and I know that you can do the same. Hard work is what it takes, as you know. Keep it kickin' killer, I'll be rootin' for ya from michigan. Best of luck man.....Rockin'Comment
