I can't see it happening if i'm honest, as much as i'd love to see Dawson clean up the tournament. Can he even make 168 comfortably?

'Automatically' be whose favourite?! Certainly not mine. He'd be favourite at LHW... but at SMW? Could he even make the weight? He hasn't fought there in an awfully long time and he always looks a big LHW for me, compared with guys like Calzaghe and B-Hop.

I dont think this would be a bad idea! Dawson could really build up his legacy by winning this (which i think he will). as long as he doesnt struggle making weight.

It'd also be a real ***** for Andre Ward who would have to go from fighting Kessler to Dawson, two guys who arguably belong on the top-10 p4p lists.
Add also that Abraham arguably has an easier schedule than Ward and Kessler considering he had Taylor where the others have Dawson.

In retrospect (for me at least) Dawson is a massive upgrade over Taylor.

Would love to see this happen. Does he have a contract with HBO? He would be much better than Allan Green.

This would make the Super Six even more awesome than it already is. I hope Jermaine does withdraw so that Dawson has a chance to step in.

If he beats Johnson, and Taylor drops out, Dawson would love a shot to win the tournament. [details]
my my. sounds like gary shaw has a bargaining chip to work with to get a sweetheart deal from hbo.
and if hbo don't bite then boxing fans may get some added fireworks to the super six!

i think weight would be an issue, like someone else said, the guy is already big for LHW, can he squeeze down and not have it affect him? If so...yeah, he'd be a clear favorite to win it all.

The problem is Dawson is a pretty big LHW, he even looked bigger than Adamek, and Adamek is now a HW.
